One 916th Air Refueling Wing office isn't really big on letting people know what they are doing.

They work behind secure doors and don't share much information unless it is on a need-to-know basis, but just this week they learned big news that has the whole wing talking.

The 916th ARW Intelligence Office won Air Force Reserve Command 2012 Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Outstanding Unit of the Year.

The shop had an amazing year helping with the end of Operation New Dawn and supporting more than 2,800 wartime objectives for Operation Enduring Freedom. They assisted in special operations aviation missions and Horn of Africa operations.

In addition to supporting the warfighter, the office also excelled at the inspection process earning high marks in the wing's compliance inspection and generating five best practices that were shared across the command. The office received an Inspector General Outstanding Team Award for their initiatives during the December 2012 inspection.

This is the fifth year for the competition and the 916th Intelligence Office will now move forward to compete at the Air Force level.
