Canes welcome 916th Airmen

916th Airmen enjoy night with the Canes

SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Although they lost to the New York Rangers, members of the 916th Air Refueling Wing were still singing the praises of the Carolina Hurricanes on April 6, 2013.

The Canes, who have been long supporters of the military, welcomed several members of the wing to the game on Saturday night.

In the past, wing members have received tickets for the military appreciation game, but this year's appreciation game fell the same night as the annual Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve banquet, so the Hurricanes offered to invite them in early April instead.

Wing members and their families presented the organization with an elephant walk poster of seven KC-135Rs on the Seymour Johnson ramp.
