Chili challenge helps good cause Published May 2, 2013 916th Public Affairs Office SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Who doesn't love a good chili? Obviously not many at the 916th Air Refueling Wing, as a couple hundred members turned out on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 to partake in the wing's Chili Challenge. Organizers from the 911th Air Refueling Squadron saw chili as the golden goose in helping them raise money for the Air Force Assistance Fund. More than 20 chefs prepared their homemade chilis for judging and lunch. In the end, five judges from all sections of the wing chose Mr. Jeff Neal as the winner, followed by Lt. Col. Dave Pike in 2nd place and Master Sgt. Heather Mousseau's chili in 3rd place. Even better than an afternoon of chili and cornbread was that the event raised nearly $275 in donations. The campaign for the Air Force Assistance Fund ends on May 5.
