The 916th Air Refueling Wing will take a break from the day-to-day grind during theĀ August unit training assembly to reflect on the Airmen that make the wing machine run smoothly.

Several activities are scheduled to include a two commander's calls on Sunday morning, small-group discussions and team-building exercises that will emphasize awareness, accountability and communication through interactive discussion. The activities are designed to build a strong foundation using the "four pillars of comprehensive fitness" - mental, physical, social and spiritual. Using this model can help the wing's Airmen maintain a healthy balance in their lives and create a sense of belonging.

"This is an opportunity for reflection," said Maj. Chris A. Magee, 916th Mission Support Group executive officer. "It gives leadership the chance to provide our Airmen with the tools necessary to succeed and thrive."

Wingman Day is mandatory for all Airmen every year to reinforce the Air Force's Wingman concept of "Airmen taking care of Airmen 24/7, 365 days a year."
