NC committee names new chair

The North Carolina Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee announced a new chairman in early June. Ron Bogle will take the seat starting Oct. 1, 2013 and serve for three years.

Bogle has been on the committee for 23 years and has recently served as the ombudsman director. He brings with him a vast array of experience in dealing with business and community organizations, civic groups and volunteers.

In addition to serving his country as an active duty soldier and later as a Naval Reservist, he has is the CEO of Community Strategies Group, a national training and consulting group focused on underage drinking prevention issues. He retired as a superior court judge and also worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in the mid-1970s.

Bogle will have a chance to meet some of the reservists of the 916th Air Refueling Wing, as he, and nearly 40 other volunteers from across the state, come here for the NC ESGR mid-summer conference.
