In 2004, he received a pilot slot from the Air National Guard in Pittsburgh, Pa. to fly the KC-135T. He transitioned into the reserves in 2010 to fly the KC-135R at Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C. where he deployed back overseas for various Operations to include ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM, while also flying on back to back deployments in support of Operation ODYSSEY DAWN. He held many key positions within the wing, to include Chief of Operations Plans and Crisis Action Team Director. These two positions led him to earn a Superior Performer recognition in three different Nuclear Operation Readiness Inspections. Along with being an instructor/evaluator pilot in the KC-135, then Maj Mohr attended the Advanced Instrument School and Combat Air Tactics School while serving in this role. He attended the United States Air Force Weapons School in 2014 where he wrote a paper advising the need for and execution of a nuclear operations simulator profile for the KC-135 community.
