SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C.--The  Combined Federal Campaign began the 2007 season with a luncheon at the NCO Club here on Oct. 22.  Members of the 4th Fighter Wing and 916th Air Refueling Wing were able to talk to some of the CFC charitable organizations involved.  Col. SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C.--Colonel John Hayes, AFRC/A6, director of communications, visited the men and women of the 916th Communication Squadron.  Col. Hayes has been visiting communication units to see what kind of issues he and his staff can help with.  It also gave him an opportunity to update the units on the latest comm. issues affecting the command.  For his outstanding support leading up to and during his visit, Col. Hayes presented Master Sgt. Brian Bischoff with a commander?s coin thanking him for coordinating every detail of the visit.

SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C.--Master Sgt. Harold M. Blount retires from the Air Force Reserve after serving 20 years and 2 days. On the occasion of his retirement the men and women of the 916th Communication Squadron bid him farewell in military fashion.  Lt. Col. James Horton, 916th CS commander said, ?Master Sgt. SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C.--Reservists from the 916th Air Refueling Wing took a fast-paced self aid and buddy care class during the October unit training assembly. Members of Security Forces, Personnel, Services and Aerospace Medicine supported students in providing first aid to a simulated downed pilot. Security forces provided instruction to the students on how to move tactically and set up perimeter defense while help could be given. Four scenarios were included in the training that had reservists thinking and moving quickly to rescue their Wingmen. Self aid and buddy care adds fire power at the 916th

MANAS AIR BASE, KYRGYZSTAN -- Reservist Danielle Hardy learns a little about what it takes to be a firefighter while deployed to Kyrgyzstan. Senior Airman Hardy is assigned to the 916th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C. but volunteered for a deployment to the Middle East.
