Juggling balls can be easier than it looks

"Do you think I can teach you to juggle three balls at once," said speakerboy to an audience of 600.

Among laughter and cheers, more than 1800 juggling balls were tossed into the air of a big hangar on a drill weekend to prove the power of positive thinking.

Motivational speaker, Mr. Curtis Zimmerman, delivered an hour presentation on living life at performance peak to members of the 916th Air Refueling Wing here Jan. 7.

"It was a rare opportunity for our people to hear him," said Master Sgt. Tim Edwards, chaplain assistant with the 916th Air Refueling Wing and full-time safety manager with the 4th Fighter Wing. Sergeant Edwards saw Mr. Zimmerman's presentation at Langley Air Force Base and was encouraged to bring the high-energy speaker to Seymour Johnson. "With all the things that we have to juggle as part of the Air Force family, he gives us good ideas on how to accomplish the goals that we face."

Mr. Zimmerman, a native of Los Angeles, California presents award winning programs and messages to individuals and organizations throughout the U.S. With a mixed variety of personal stories, humor and interaction with the audience, he captivated his Reserve and active duty audience during five different appearances at Seymour Johnson.

Sergeant Edwards explained that Mr. Zimmerman has a good understanding of the military and he customizes his programs to fit the military mission.

Mr. Zimmerman specifically talked about how people live and die based on the military's willingness to complete each task at performance peak. "It shouldn't just be a wingman day," he said to the audience. "It should be a wingman life."

"We felt that it was very important," said Sergeant Edwards. "Our reservists can gain a new perspective on their future and outlook on their professional and personal life."
