COLONEL DOUGLAS A. STOUFFER

Colonel Douglas A. Stouffer is Commander, 916th Operations Group, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. In this capacity he leads 428 active duty, reserve, and civilian airmen as part of the first KC-135 Active Total Force Associate Unit. The group is directly responsible for expeditiously ensuring conventional and non-conventional global reach to Combatant Commanders through the execution of Air Force Reserve Command’s leading flight hour program. Additionally, the wing has been selected as the Air Force’s first Integrated Wing test location.

A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Colonel Stouffer received his commission through the United States Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1991.  He is a command pilot with more than 6,000 hours in the KC-135, C-12, and T-1.  He has served as Wing Safety Officer, Flight Commander, Flight Examiner, Assistant Director of Operations, Director of Operations, and Squadron Commander.  Colonel Stouffer has flown combat support sorties in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, NORTHERN WATCH, and VIGILANT WARRIOR and provided non-flying support in Operation NOBLE EAGLE.  Prior to his current assignment he was Commander, 5th Flying Training Squadron, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
