SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Staff Sgt. David Adams spends a few last minutes with his son before he deploys to Kirkuk, Iraq on Aug. 6. Sgt. Adams is one of nearly 40 security forces troops from the 916th Air Refueling Wing, Air Force Reserve, that was called to active duty in continued support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.


One quick lesson before deploying

The 916th Intelligence Flight is commended by wing leadership during a commander's call, held at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base during the April drill weekend. The flight was identified by the Air Force Reserve Command Inspector General team for their superior performance in the wing's most recent Unit Effectiveness Inspection.
