Before an aircraft of any sort can take flight, it has to pass vigorous safety inspections. And only if the aircraft has been properly maintained, can it pass with flying colors. Maintainers at HSL 51, Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron Light FIVE ONE, have the job of ensuring planes there can land safely. Petty Officer Shamira Purifoy has more. Soundbites include PO1.
