7/31/2012 - SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C.  -- It was a quick trip, but for several men and women of the 916th Air Refueling Wing it was quality time.

Gen. Ray Johns, commander of Air Mobility Command, stopped by the 916th Air Refueling Wing on Tuesday, July 25, as part of a two-day tour that took him from Scott Air Force Base, Ill to West Virginia, North Carolina and Washington D.C.

While at the 916th he spent time with group and squadron commanders learning more about the wing and conducted a private meeting with Col. Laen August, wing commander, and leadership from the 911th Air Refueling Squadron.

While the briefings were a key part of his visit, the general really made an impact when he took time to coin 11 Reserve and active duty Airmen from the 916th for their outstanding performance over the past year.

He thanked the Airmen for their service and dedication to do the job on a continouus basis.

Staff Sgt. Terrica Jones, 916th Public Affairs Office, was one of the Airmen coined for superior performance and was elated to share her experience with friends and family.

"It isn't a one, two or three star coin," she said with a huge smile. "It is a four-star coin! That's pretty rare."
